Hallo liebe Lesenden !
I´m dabei.
English:
Hello dear readers,
A brief greeting from the tropical heat, where everything is warm, slightly sticky, and moving at a very relaxed pace. We’re doing well, and there isn’t much news to report. The year has only just woken up for us and is still considering whether it really needs to get out of bed—but it is, slowly, showing signs of life.
Apart from our demanding daily schedule involving the swimming pool, bed, toilet, and refrigerator, we’ve begun cautiously planning this year’s travels.
At the end of the month, we’ll be flying to the province with my sister and her wife to visit family, enjoy the fresh air, and look at the sea in a deeply appreciative manner. Quite nice, really.
After that, we’re off to Borneo again—mostly walking, shopping, and eating. Large quantities of seafood and lobster will be involved. This is not a complaint.
Vietnam is also on the agenda. We’re heading to Da Nang, with a refreshingly simple plan: travel and eat. The Airbnb is already booked. As former hoteliers, we feel no particular emotional attachment to hotels, and my husband has already started reserving restaurants, presumably to avoid disappointment.
Next year, Mrs. M. and her husband are planning a trip to Japan—and yes, incredibly, we could meet there. A rare case of geography actually working in our favour. My husband will stay here, but that’s quite all right—I’m perfectly capable of eating for two without assistance.
So do set the date, Mrs. M. I’m fully committed.
And since there is genuinely nothing new to report: warm regards and all the best.
