Mother´s 85th birthday

It was a joyous day in Kalibo as we celebrated the 85th birthday of our dear Mother. From the moment we arrived, the festivities were in full swing, and it was evident that this was going to be a day filled with love and happiness.

The day started with a special birthday lunch at Cafe Latte, where Nanay, Toto and Blando and me had a festive meal. The menu was carefully curated and included all of Mutti’s favorite dishes. We raised a glass in her honor and toasted to her health and happiness.

As the day went on, more and more neighbors, friends, and family arrived at Nanay’s home to celebrate. It was a reunion of sorts, and it was heartwarming to see so many people come together to mark this special occasion.

Cousin Portia had organized a magnificent feast, and the spread was incredible. From savory meats to sweet desserts, there was something for everyone, and everyone enjoyed the delicious food and the company.

As the night went on, the mood shifted to one of playfulness and fun. The cousins brought out the darts, and there was a friendly competition that lasted well into the night. We also enjoyed a few drinks, including a round of rum, which helped to keep the party going.

Mutti was at the center of it all, and she was beaming with happiness. The love and affection that surrounded her was palpable, and it was clear that she was having the time of her life.

The celebration went on until late in the night, and when it finally came to an end, we all went home with full hearts and memories that would last a lifetime. It was a day that truly celebrated the life of a wonderful woman and all that she has done for those around her. Happy 85th birthday, Mutti!
